Are you crazy about paint chip projects? Maybe you didn't even realize that these little freebie* pieces of cardstock were popping up all over the blogosphere. I found 11 paint chip projects online -- from sweet and delicate to stunning and artistic -- and most of them are so simple your child can help you create them.
Table Top Paint Chips
This little book shelf cabinet got a 5-minute makeover when the designer layed out paint chips and covered the surface with pre-cut glass or plexi-glass. You can do the same thing to any flat piece of furniture! Don't have any plexiglass or glass? A few coats of water-based polyurethane would suffice.
*Use consideration when taking paint chips. Try not to take more than 2-3 of each color and definitely don't take the last of a color. It might be a good idea to ask permission from the paint store employee if you need to take more than a dozen.
