New Panties Make Your Period Sexy (and No, I Do Not Mean the Punctuation)

As an momtreprenuer, business ideas go through my head the way most women change their underwear during that time of month. It never occured to me that this exact idea would be the premise for a business model for Brown University graduates Julie Sygiel and Eunice Png, who launched Sexy Period, a line of underwear designed specifically to help women get through theirs with grace.

Lets face it, sex sells -- but a Sexy Period? It's ingenious really, I mean, think of their biggest competitor during "that time of the month"... move over Granny Pantie, there's a new girl in town and she's smart, hip and hopeful.

Move Over Granny Pants!
After two years of product development the patent pending panties were released and for the first time in the history of The Red Tent women can rest assured that these leak resistant, fashionable, and breathable underwear have them covered as they anticipate the most detested punctuation in the english language. Choose from three styles Friday Night Fabulous, Blossoming Beauty, and Simply Stunning for the most comfortable fit.

New Pantie in Town: Sexy Period Panties!
Recognizing a problem that's right in front of your face and solving that problem is the holy grail for an entreprenuer. With a major audience who all share a need (Women can all relate to this particular problem, and all of us feel the pain and humiliation if caught off guard when our cycle begins) this particular product seems like a home run.
Did Julie and Eunice create this product because they saw a good business model? Or did they create this product because they saw a common everyday problem that they could solve? Either way, it's a brillant idea, and I have a feeling the likes of Victoria might be knocking on the door soon to get in on the secret (just sayin'). The only bad part about the product is that I did not think of it first!
Do you see common every day problems right in front of you that are not being adressed?
Is there a product or service out there that you think you can improve on?
Do you have an everyday annoyance or problem that might make your life or job simpler or more productive?
These are the things you might want to ask yourself as you view different opportunities or products ideas. For us momtreprenuers out there I think we could come up with some really amazing product idea's that are in front of us everyday.
I'd love to hear your comments, ideas, thoughts or cries of outrage.
